Anyone who is interested in researching their Newman ancestors or with an interest in the Newman name, are encouraged to join the society. Currently it has members from as far afield as the UK, Spain, USA, Canada, Australia, New Zealand, and China.
Membership is open to anyone with an interest in any aspect of the Newman name, whether through lineage or otherwise.
The current membership fees are (depending on your location):
Subscriptions may be paid by cheque, money order or by Paypal.
How do you pay by PayPal? It is easy if a member already holds an individual PayPal account. They need to login and then use UK Secretary, Graham Newman’s email address: . Although the account is in the name of the NNS, access for payments is via this email address.
If a member does not have a PayPal account they will need to open a personal PayPal account first and they must have a credit card which will be debited with the payment. The member's credit card will only be debited once Graham has confirmed that the payment is to be made. [Please refer to www.paypal.com for information about setting up a PayPal account.]
The benefit for the Society in using this method of payment is that the payment can be made in sterling so there is no bank commission when any money is transferred to the UK. The small handling fee for each credit is less than the banks charge in exchange rates.
If paying by cheque or money order, please tender your membership subscription in one of the above currencies, to the appropriate Subscription Officer - see Contacts page.
