The Newman Name Society
The Newman Name Society, was founded in Canada in 1986. It remains dedicated to preserving Newman family history and establishing Newman genealogies.
The society provides a means through which like-minded people who are interested in Newman genealogy, can discuss ideas, help each other and exchange information.
The society produces a quarterly newsletter - the Newman Chronicle - each January, April, July and October. Originally the Chronicle was issued twice per year and supplemented by a shorter Bulletin in the intervening quarters, but this practice was discontinued in 2001 when the Bulletin was replaced by additional issues of the Chronicle.
Past issues of the Chronicle and Bulletin are available for download from the Newsletter page of this website.
The Newman Genealogical Register includes details of known Newman genealogical researchers, and a revised edition is published each year. These are also available for download from the Registers page of this website.
A CD containing Newman Census material and Overseas Births, Marriages
and Deaths and other information, in PDF format, will be sent to all new
members of the Newman Name Society.
